Welcome to the place she made.
the place she made was born from a single line in a narrative poem about Mary:
“She made a place for Him with tired hands and a heart that did not tire.”
Reading these words felt like coming home to the deepest truth of who I am. I found the thread that had quietly woven through my life all along and a recognition of the work I was always meant to do.
Welcome is more than a warm greeting or a beautiful home. True welcome is cultivated. It grows from a heart that has learned to receive God’s love and extends outward into the way we care for ourselves, our families, our homes, and our communities.
I believe every human being is called to become a place where love dwells.
From that inner place, everything else begins to take shape. Our homes become more peaceful, our relationships grow more intentional. Beauty is no longer about perfection but about creating environments where people feel seen, safe, and holy belonging.
the place she made exists to help cultivate that kind of life.
Through practical resources, formation experiences, and premium consulting, I help people intentionally shape both their inner and outer homes. Sometimes that begins with decluttering a room. Sometimes it means redesigning a home, restoring family rhythms, or learning the art of hospitality. Sometimes it means making space for prayer, emotional healing, and deeper relationships.
These are not separate pursuits… rather they are all expressions of the same calling: becoming people who cultivate places where love dwells.
that the place she made is becoming more than a simple consulting business. It is evolving into a movement of ordinary, lovely wholehearted women like you with tired hands and faithful hearts, quietly creating places where God is welcomed, people flourish, and beauty points us home.

I’m a wildflower gal nurturing our family’s roots in the Shendandoah Valley. As a designer and former therapist, I get to help highly intentional women cultivate a welcoming heart and home. On this website and on Instagram @theplaceshemade I create and share resources for home & small space design, and embracing a Welcoming lifestyle.
Probably just like you, dear reader, I’m on a journey seeking health, healing and holiness. I have a deep melancholic soul with a real choleric flame, so you can expect a unique blend of tenderness and intensity growing together.
I love the mountains, meandering rivers and creeks, open windows, wild cottage gardens, a set table, a kettle steaming, beeswax melting down candlesticks, little boots by the door. I’m intolatin dancing, books that make me a better person, learning housewifery skills, and renewing all sorts of spaces to bring out their beauty and potential to draw others in to a sense of safety, belonging and joy.
I want to help to free you from overwhelm so you can flourish as a wife + mother, homemaker, and sister. I truly believe “making a place” for the other will change the world. I’m honored and delighted that you’re here.
